Elastically driven, intermittent microscopic dynamic in soft solids

Read our work on elastically induced stress fluctuations which may lead to intermittent microscopic dynamics and scale-free distributions of particle displacements in soft solids. We find that this is the origin of the compressed exponential dynamics reported in experiments.
