REU student research recently published in American Journal of Physics. Sandro Orjuela recently published a paper based on his 2021 REU project on examining the free expansion of a Gaussian wave packet in terms of squeezed states. The paper appeared this past June. Free expansion of a Gaussian wavepacket using operator manipulations | American Journal of Physics | AIP Publishing (new window) In addition, a paper with 2022 REU participant Livia Guttieres was not only published in American Journal of Physics, but it had an image from the paper selected for the cover of the issue. The work was on proposing computational exercises for the Landau-Zener problem and appeared this November. Please find more information here: Computational projects with the Landau–Zener problem in the quantum mechanics classroom | American Journal of Physics | AIP Publishing (new window)
