Quantum Mechanics for Everyone recognized as best MOOC of all time

Quantum Mechanics for Everyone, and edX MOOC by Jim Freericks appears as the 7th best MOOC of all time on class central’s top 250 MOOCs of all time list. This course is a six-week long course run annually in the summer that focuses on the conceptual ideas of superposition, entanglement, complementary and measurement. Since its inception in 2017, it has had over 45,000 enrolled students during three separate runs of the course. Material from the course is incorporated into Physics 253 and uses advanced visualization techniques and animations. The course has been a stalwart on this list, usually appearing in the top ten best courses of all time. The course was also a finalist for the 2018 edX award. It is the only Georgetown course to make the list and the only quantum information science course to make the list. Course content was jointly developed with Georgetown students.
