Prof. Freericks selected for the Slater Lecture Series of the Quantum Theory Project at the University of Florida

Professor Freericks will give three lectures at the University of Florida from October 22-24, 2019. He is selected as the 2019 Slater Lecturer. Slater Lecturers are from the field of physics and are chosen every few years to give a series of lectures and meet with the faculty and graduate students of the Quantum Theory Project. John Slater was a member of the Quantum Theory Project from 1964 until his death in 1976. Freericks’ three lectures will cover the field of quantum biology, operator mechanics (a new form of quantum mechanics), and how to use quantum computers to solve problems in many-body physics.
