Peter and post-doc Claire McIlroy attended the NIST Measurement Science Roadmap for Polymer-Based Additive Manufacturing . Peter was on a panel session on challenges faced in modeling the process, and Claire presented a poster on her work about modeling the flow fields and polymer welding during fused filament fabrication (FFF), which is the technology behind most desk-top 3D printers.
