USA Science and Engineering Festival

Physics students and faculty participated in the 2016 USA Science and Engineering Festival, held in the Washington Convention Center on April 16-17. Volunteers at the Big Top Physics exhibit, sponsored by the American Institute of Physics, engaged the public using interactive demonstrations on mechanics, electricity, sound, and more.  Georgetown’s Institute for Soft Matter organized an exhibit on Squishy Science, complete with silly putty, oobleck, and liquid-nitrogen ice cream. Physics Phun was had by all.
