Physics major Nicholas Quirk (C’17) has been awarded the 2015 Hichwa Family Undergraduate Summer Research Fellowship. Nick will be conducting research in Prof. Paola Barbara’s laboratory.  He will be growing graphene via chemical vapor deposition (CVD) and assessing the quality of the materials. He will also be testing techniques to transfer the CVD graphene to substrates that are preferred for device fabrication.

The Hichwa Family Undergraduate Summer Research Fellowship was established through the generous support of Dr. Bryant P. (C’68) and Ms. Diane V. Hichwa.
