Professor Patrick Johnson’s book, The Physics of Star Wars: The Science Behind a Galaxy Far, Far Away, has been published by Adams Media, a division of Simon and Schuster. A long-time Star Wars enthusiast, Prof. Johnson has been known to use examples from fictional universes like Star Wars to engage his students in discussions about physics. The book, which grew out of a popular series of Ask-A-Professor videos that Prof. Johnson made with Georgetown’s Office of Communications, is written for a general audience.
