Prof. Freericks is the theory lead for a MIT led team that is funded to explore the newest frontiers of x-ray science in solids. Led by Keith Nelson, the six-member team includes scientists from MIT, Stanford, Los Alamos National Laboratory, and Georgetown University. The effort is a 3-year $4.5 million dollar grant, with Georgetown receiving $625,000. Funds will be used to support postdoctoral and graduate student researchers in the Physics Department.
