Physics alumnus Harry Han publishes second paper based on undergraduate research
Posted in News Story
Harry Han has recently had his work entitled “Bang-Bang Shortcut to Adiabaticity in Ion-Trap-based Quantum Simulators, published in Physical Review A. This work was undertaken as a GUROP project and then continued by an REU student Shankar Balasubramanian (son of the CS Professor of the same name). It involved joint work with graduate alumnus Bryce Yoshimura and Professor Freericks. The ideas in this paper were recently employed in an experiment in John Bollinger’s lab in NIST, Boulder. Learn how the technology behind how your thermostat controls the indoor climate can be used in quantum computing!
