Hands-on science fun at Discovery Summit
Posted in News Story
Over 100 students from DC public schools spent a day on campus having fun doing hands-on science at this year’s Discovery Summit, an annual event organized by the student group GUMSHOE (Georgetown University Math Science Hands-On Enrichment). About 40 volunteers from GUMSHOE and the departments of human biology, chemistry, biology, and physics engaged the visiting students in activities like elephant toothpaste, frog dissections, magnet racing, and much more! Activities in the physics lab were organized and led by undergraduates Ally Latsilnik and Rico Chan, and Profs. Cothran, Johnson, Doughty, and Liu.
