Graduate student awarded NUWC fellowship

Kevin Pushee was awarded the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) fellowship for the Fall 2016 semester. The NUWC Fellowship Program is a resource designed to aid employees of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Newport Division  (NUWC) seeking advanced degrees.  The fellowship provides full tuition and salary for employees for an academic term. It was established to foster the growth of NUWC’s technical knowledge in the areas of engineering, physical science, mathematics, and computer science.

Kevin received his MS in Physics from Georgetown in 2007. Since 2009 he has worked as a scientist at NUWC. He is currently working on his PhD research topic, an investigation of the use of terahertz (THz) imaging for use in nondestructive test and evaluation (NDT&E) at NUWC. His mentor at Georgetown is Prof. Ed Van Keuren.
