Georgetown hosts rheology workshop
Posted in News Story
The Workshop on Rheology of Dense Particle Suspensions was held at Georgetown University on June 16-17. The workshop featured research presentations and hands-on demonstrations focused on understanding the flow of particle suspensions. Over 70 physicists, chemists, chemical engineers, material scientists, and industrial researchers from across the country and around the globe participated in discussions about the science and practical applications of phenomena such as shear thickening. The workshop was organized by Emanuela Del Gado (Georgetown), Daniel Blair (Georgetown), Bulbul Chakraborty (Brandeis), and Jeff Morris (CCNY), with sponsorship from NSF, NIST, Georgetown, Anton Parr, and several other industrial partners.
