Jim Freericks elected to APS Council

Jim Freericks has been elected to the American Physical Society’s Council of Representatives. The Council advises the APS Board on all matters of science and membership. Prof. Freericks will represent the Division of Computational Physics (DCOMP) and the Topical Group on Data Science.

   
Prof. Freericks joins other Georgetown physics faculty currently serving in leadership roles within APS units: Amy Liu, DCOMP Chair-Elect; Daniel Blair, Secretary/Treasurer of the Division of Soft Matter (DSOFT); and Emanuela Del Gado, DSOFT Executive Committee Member-at-Large.
