James Freericks and Leanne Doughty received a grant from the Air Force Office of Scientific Research to examine learning in on-line quantum mechanics courses on edx. The research is comparing learning by the general public and by Georgetown Physics majors, focusing on conceptual ideas related to interaction free experiments. The one-year grant is a follow-up of a previous grant, and is budgeted at $45,000.
