Georgetown researchers to present invited talks at the 2025 APS Global Physics Summit
Three members of the Georgetown physics community are giving invited presentations at the 2025 Global Physics Summit of the American Physical Society, March 16-21, in Anaheim, CA. The Joint March Meeting and April Meeting — referred to as the APS Global Physics Summit — is the largest physics research conference in the world, bringing together 14,000 scientific community members across all disciplines of physics and from around the world to exchange ideas and present research findings on a wide array of topics.
Prof. Peter Olmsted will present research on disentanglement in polymer liquids, including effects in additive manufacturing, polymer dynamics, and shear banding.
Prof. Emanuela Del Gado will discuss her work on the architecture, rheology, and toughness of intertwined double networks of polymers.
Dr. Dhritiman Bhattacharya, a postdoctoral fellow working with Prof. Kai Liu, will present a talk on magnetic nanowire networks as a platform for neuromorphic computing.
In addition, approximately 20 other Georgetown students, postdoctoral researchers, and faculty will present contributed talks and posters about their work.
