Education grant to study learning in quantum mechanics funded to GU faculty

Profs. Doughty and Freericks won a grant from the Air Force Office of Scientific Research to perform education research on Quantum Mechanics for Everyone and the undergraduate quantum class. The one year grant is for $22,000 and was one of six (out of 150) grants to be funded by the call for proposals. The plan is to study how students learn about interaction free experiments and publish a report on this work. CeCe Ochoa (Georgetown Undergraduate) and Justyna Zwolak (NIST) are also working on this project.
