Gels and topological data analysis
Professor Del Gado, together with Dr. Gavin Donley, a post-doctoral researcher in her group and now NRC postdoctoral fellow at NIST, have proposed a new method to characterize these complex structures, in collaboration with researchers from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the University of Minnesota. Their papers was recently published on ACS Nano for a journal cover.

Room-temperature solid-state nitrogen-based magneto-ionics demonstrated in CoMnN films
In a recent collaboration with Prof. Jordi Sort’s group at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) in Spain, Prof. Kai Liu and his students Christopher Jensen and Zhijie (Hugh) Chen have demonstrated voltage-triggered magneto-ionic effects at room temperature in solid state systems of CoMnN films, without the need of thermal annealing.
