Mak Paranjape elected as a Fellow of the National Academy of Inventors
Professor Mak Paranjape has been elected as a Fellow of the National Academy of Inventors (NAI) for his exceptional contributions to innovation, his prolific spirit of invention and the tangible impact of his work on society’s welfare and economic development.
Prof. Paranjape’s research focuses on engineering functional sensors for biomedical applications. His work, conducted in the Georgetown Nanoscience and Microtechnology Laboratory (GNμLab) , utilizes cutting-edge equipment and technologies similar to those used in integrated circuit manufacturing.
A hallmark of Prof. Paranjape’s career has been his commitment to mentorship and education. He has consistently involved students at all levels – from high school to post-doctoral researchers – in various aspects of his innovative work, fostering the next generation of inventors and scientists.
