Graduate students Orelle Bulgin and Wayan Fontaine-Seiler were named 2022 Outstanding Teaching Assistants by the physics department. Orelle was recognized for his contributions as a lecture TA for PHYS-101/102. Not only is he very much appreciated by his students, who follow him from recitation to office hours and vice versa, but also, faculty can count on him to carry out his responsibilities in a thoughtful and timely manner. Wayan was recognized as an outstanding lab TA for PHYS-154. He demonstrated expert knowledge of scientific and technical details, communicated effectively with students, and offered valuable insight and good judgment. During the pandemic, his dedication extended so far as to fill his apartment with lab equipment to conduct virtual labs by zoom!
