Surviving Your Stupid, Stupid Decision to Go to Grad School

Sanaria Inc. and Science Journal
There exists a group of dedicated academics who consider spending years masochistically overworked and under-appreciated as a laudable goal. They lead lives “of the mind” (read: “of poverty”), grade the exams of the whiny, and spend lonely nights in the laboratory pursuing a transcendent truth that only six or seven people will ever care about. These people are grad students, and they are idiots.
In this seminar, which has nothing directly to do with physics, author, comedian, and molecular biologist Adam Ruben will discuss the low points of higher education, possibly culminating in actual helpful advice regarding employment. He knows grad students will attend, because the event includes free food.
REFRESHMENTS AT 3:00 PM IN REGENTS HALL 109
