CMT seminar: Imaginary-Time Approach to Quantum Transport

The recently developed Matsubara-voltage formalism by Han and Heary [1] is briefly reviewed. Its unbiased implementation with continuous-time quantum Monte-Carlo techniques is discussed [2]. Numerical estimates on static observables for an out-of-equilibrium single-orbital quantum dot in the Kondo regime are presented. A novel function-theoretical framework enabling the Bayesian inference of the dot electron’s spectral function from QMC data is introduced. It is successfully applied to the computation of spectral properties and current-voltage characteristics.
