Faculty presenting invited talks at APS meeting

Three Georgetown faculty members will be presenting invited talks at the 2017 March Meeting of the American Physical Society, to be held in New Orleans, LA, on March 13-17, 2017. Physics professor Paola Barbara will discuss her work on using nanostructured materials for light detection, and physics professor Emanuela Del Gado will present her research on relaxation pathways in the rheology and aging of jammed soft solids. Keir Lieber, a faculty member in the Security Studies Program of the School of Foreign Service, will be speaking in an invited session on emerging technologies and the future of nuclear arsenals.
